I was in Sydney, a vibrant city where the sun gently dips behind towering skyscrapers, casting long shadows across the bustling streets. It was here, amidst the pulse of city life, that I, Maria, found myself entangled in a world I hadn’t quite anticipated. I was dating an older man, Tom—an affluent businessman from Hong Kong, a man whose life was woven with success, but also with the responsibilities of raising two wonderful sons.
For a time, everything seemed perfect—Tom, with his worldly charm and sophistication, offering me a glimpse into a life I’d only dreamed of. Yet, as we know, life has its way of throwing us curveballs. It was during a family gathering that I encountered someone who would change everything. His name was Jes, Tom's son. Charismatic, sharp, with a depth that seemed to pierce through the surface of everything around him. It was in that moment, when our eyes first met across the room, that the complicated dance of attraction began—one I had never seen coming."
Jes was different, radiating life with a smile that could light up any room. We began to talk, and what started as simple conversation soon turned into something much more sensual. The chemistry was undeniable, our bodies drawn to each other like magnets. Each touch was electric, every kiss deep and passionate, leading us to nights filled with intense, uninhibited love-making. We had the best sex I've ever experienced, in all my life, our bodies perfectly in sync, exploring each other with a hunger that was insatiable. I felt alive for first time in my life
Even the way he'd become passionate each time I was on the brink of ending the relationship excited me beyond measure. His fervor in those moments, as if he could read my doubts and counter them with an overwhelming, desirous embrace, was thrilling. It was as if our arguments fueled a fire that only intensified our sexual connection, making each encounter more explosive than the last.
We fell in love, and after a whirlwind of desire and emotion, we decided to tie the knot. Our marriage was a sexual paradise; every night was an exploration of pleasure, our bodies entwined in acts of love that left us breathless and wanting more. The conection we shared was unlike any other, making every encounter unforgettable.
But this paradise didn't last forever. One day, without warning, our life took a dramatic turn. Jes found himself in a situation that tore him away from me, forcing us into an indefinite separation. The day I learned of it, fear gripped me. Not just for losing Jes, but also from the threat of deportation to my country with the possibility I wouldn't have the freedom to leave as I pleased.
Our story reminds me that song by Nacho Vegas that says: "Good things die under the sun."
With a broken heart, I had to make the agonizing decision to leave him, not knowing when or if I would ever feel his touch again. The uncertainty of our future loomed over me like a dark cloud, leaving a void in my life that only time might fill, if it ever could.
Almost every day he calls me from prison. I asked for permission to write our story. His voice lights up my days... Will I see him again? It depends on the decision of what Immigration authorities says. He won’t be able to leave the country either, if he’s allowed to continue his trial outside of prison.
Like the Calamaro's song says: "la moneda cayó por el lado de la soledad, otra vez"
